Springfield, Ohio Speed Traps

The speed limit on the streets bordering this part of Portage Line are 45 changing to 35 from Portage Line to Tissian and 40 mph on Pontius. The Springfield Township Police sit in the church parking lot and wait for people to come down the road, exceeding the speed limit of 25 MPH on their little speed trap between.
They also sit up on Ada Vista at the curve near the top of the little hill. Its a 95.00 fine if your caught there.

Be on the lookout for Sprigfield cops on these heavily traveled roads – especially after dark. I have been stopped for cracked taillight lens/no liscense plate light/being seen in the same area twice in a short period of time etc. They are looking for drugs, DUI, DUS etc. I think. Also Highway Patrol hangs out where these roads empty onto rte.224, especially near rte.241

The State Highway Patrol post is on this particular route. It is patrolled by State boys and Sheriff. Many Many speeders are caught daily. BE CAREFUL AND DO SPEED LIMIT HERE, ALSO WEAR YOUR SEAT BELT!
