They are using a helicopter to detect speeders and having chase cars and motorcycles off the on ramp to issue tickets.

Woodley Road near Central Road

Toledo, OhioApr 08, 20040 Comments

A two lane residential street, Woodley is a great cut through to the mall. Problem is it is only 25, and Toledo Police love to pick people off who are not paying attention. They sit partially hidden in the driveway to the church, near the expressway overpass. If you are more than 7 mph over the limit, you are toast! Don’t waste your breath arguing, when Toledo Police put a car out there, catching speeders is all they are there to do.

Interstate 75 southbound near Alexis Road

Toledo, OhioDec 17, 20030 Comments

first of all the speed limit in michigan is 70 for cars and 55 for trucks/busses well when you come into ohio the speed limit is 65 for about 3/4 of a mile then it suddenly drops to 60 without any warning. Well there is a officer shooting the traffic giving the info to the chase cars sitting on the alexis road entrance ramp what cars to get and how fast.

I-75 between exits 35 and 37

Toledo, OhioAug 03, 20030 Comments

As you go North on 75 the speed limit drops from 70 to 65 just before exit 35. You then come around a curve, entering the hallowed precincts of Taylor, and there in the median is their cop, ready to catch the unwary. There are two spots in the median where they sit, catching both North and Southbound traffic. I’ve heard that Dunkin’ Donuts may put a franchise here to exploit the business of the exploiters.
