Canal Road near Frances Drive

Valley View, OhioSep 18, 20130 Comments

Hides behind the large, stone street sign at either Frances Drive or Charles Drive clocking northbound traffic on Canal Road. Be careful, this small town relies on revenue from traffic citations. Do not give them the satisfaction to continue their unethical practices by getting a ticket.

Canal Rd. between Fosdick & Granger

Valley View, OhioSep 17, 20130 Comments

Officer sits in the driveways of private businesses along Canal Road between Fosdick & Granger. He is easily hidden due to the size of the business’s signs. The reason for the artificially low 35 MPH speed limit cannot be furnished to me by city officials.

Rockside Rd. just west of Canal Rd.

Valley View, OhioAug 27, 20130 Comments

Officer sits in the small park driveway here shooting radar at Rockside Rd. traffic, his appearance concealed by foliage. Bear in mind that this is at the end of a steep downhill grade with an absurdly low speed limit of 35 MPH! If you don’t want to wear out your brakes consider taking another route.

Canal Rd. near Hathaway Rd.

Valley View, OhioApr 13, 20130 Comments

Watch out on Canal Rd. near city hall. An orange on black cruiser (usually Ford Taurus) parks on a grassy shoulder between Hathaway Rd. and Gleeson Ct. Keep your speed on 35 MPH on this road.

Canal Road near the feed mill

Valley View, OhioOct 02, 20120 Comments

I have seen VV PD sitting in the parking lot of Wilson’s Feed Mill lately. Usually there in the mornings. It looks like he’s clocking traffic coming down the steep hill from Summit County where the speed limit drops from 50 to 35. To be safe, keep your speed at 35 as soon as you cross the county line.
