Winchester, Ohio Speed Traps

As you enter the Winchester corporation limits there is a "Welcome to Adams County" sign. When you are coming East you will see the Winchester police hiding behind this sign . Its a speed trap and he is not a State Highway Patrolman and should have other jobs to attend to in town. Let the troopers handle St. Rt. 32. It gives our County a negative vibe especially when it is a welcome sign. Definetly a speed trap!!

A officer will not be sitting here during the day due to traffic but anytime at night from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. there will be a officer sitting there waiting for speeders on the highway or people pulling off and on to route 136.

WPD sits at the end of the Red Barn driveway. Speed limit is 35 mph in this area, 5 miles over = $160.00 fine.

The Local police park on the south side of 32 on Dorsey Rd. just in front of two signs. Driving East on 32 just after John Woods Road there is a bend in the Road and driving West on 32 after route 136 there is a bridge crossing RR tracks Dorsey Road is right in the middle and he is able to get you every time. The legal speed limit is 60mph. so be careful.

This is a new cop in town and he is a great revenue generator for the village. 35MPH zone. 5MPH over the limit is a $160.00 fine. Mayors court assures you can never fight this one.
