Xenia, Ohio Speed Traps
U.S. 35 West coming out of Xenia
March, 2011 has been designated as a month of "stepped up" enforcement of traffic laws on U.S. 35. Westbound U.S. 35 in Greene County is a 65-mph highway, which turns into a 4-lane divided highway with a 55-mph. speed limit west of Xenia all the way to Dayton. Oftentimes (even when there is no "stepped up" enforcement) a cop car will be sitting just past the end of the ramp from the end of the 65-mph within .2 miles of the speed dropping down to 55.

US-35 Turnpike near 71 Expressway
I was in a 65 MPH section, driving 78 MPH (by cruise control in a Lexus). The officer had 85 on her radar. I was using a Valentine detector that never detected any radar. She was extremely defensive, although I remained polite the entire time. I suspect the 85 was "preset".
