Going north/south on Hwy 92 or east/west (County Rd. 1280)through Amber is a very well-known speed trap in Grady County. It is constantly patrolled.
Speed zones decrease quickly. Zones change from 65, 55, 45, 35,to 25 mph before you realize you are even in a sdeed zone.
The officers sit at the edge of town down in the ditch. There is no dense housing so you think you are safely out of town. Population is 490. There are more than 5 police officers and nice looking cars with state of the art radar. The speed limit drops three times out west of town in about a four block distance. All of this paid for with our tax dollars thru federal funding. And the cost of the citations??? $90.00 Where is our government?? Who is supposed to protect us from legalized theivery.
