Arcadia, Oklahoma Speed Traps
State Route 66 near Main not sure Street
On the outskirts of town there is a posting, lowering the speed limit from 55 to 45. A little further on there is a second 45 posting (estimate that the second posting is 1/3 mile of the first). The first posting does indicate that it is "strictly" enforced but feel that it is located in a position that makes it easy to overlook. Am sure that motorists are clocked on radar between the two signs. Why do they even bother to post a second sign? It appears that the officer is approaching from the opposite direction and if you overlook the first sign they immediately make a U-turn, hit their lights, and ticket you.
