Edmond, Oklahoma Speed Traps
reveille road Boulevard near just north of turnpike on blvd Turnpike
Driving north on boulevard about one mile before memorial motorcycle officer hides on Reveille Road, which is on the east side of Boulevard, radars traffic heading north. We see him most everyday….
Boulevard Road
This whole road is patrolled regularly because of the ridiculous speed limits. It is especially patrolled in front of Cafe 501 and Boulevard Steakhouse because of the 30 MPH speed limit. It is also regularly patrolled just south of ninth all the way through 33rd because, again, the 35 MPH speed limit is ridiculous.
Sooner Road
A black suburban (disguised) hides on Sooner just south of Danforth right before the on ramp to I-35. (to the right if you are about to get on I-35) It is there quite often and is always pulling people over.
Blackwelder Avenue near Ayers Street
This is a 4-way stop at Ayers and Blackwelder. Police like to sit along Blackwelder and catch cars that don’t COMPLETELY stop (wheels have to stop moving). Ticket cost is $100+.
Boulevard Street near 2nd Street
Cops like to sit on the sidestreets that intersect with Boulevard directly south of 2nd Street. You can’t see them until it’s too late to slow down. The speed limit drops down to 30mph in this area, and they like to catch UCO students who are late to class in the morning. Be careful on this area of Boulevard any time of day, but particularly in the morning!
