Norman, Oklahoma Speed Traps
Alameda Street near Across from the church
Police officers hide in the small parking lot on the S. side of the street (day care parking).
Interstate 35 near Exit Number 114
On southbound I-35 as you get into Norman (it might be before exit 114, I can’t quite remember) the speed limit suddenly drops from 70 to 60 and there is no speed zone warning. You just suddenly have a sign saying 60. I’ve seen police pulling people over here because if they were going 80 in the 70, it’s no big deal, but suddenly they are going 80 in a 60 and it’s a bigger ticket.
Robinson Avenue near Interstate 35
Robinson Avenue is a major exit into Norman off I-35.It is a long wide flat 4 lane with open feilds on each side,ie. a small air feild runs the length on one side, a golf course on the other. Speed limit is 40mph.It is unusual not to see a police car using this strech of road. 40mph will feel slow, but keep you ticket free.
Interstate I35 near US Highway 9
Ok DOT troopers are setup at the Highway 9 east exit shooting the northbound I35 semi trucks only for traffic infractions then what else they might find after the stop!
60mph once you cross the river bridge thru Norman on a divided four lane interstate go figure!
