Featherstone Road near May Avenue

North Oklahoma City, OklahomaMar 06, 20080 Comments

There is one cop who drives a silver, unmarked Crown Vic who loves to patrol the smaller roads between Memorial and 122nd, Penn and May. There are several apartment complexes in this area. I have noticed that he has a particular fondness for Featherstone Road, which runs between Highland Park Blvd (40mph) and May Ave. The speed limit is 25 mph on Featherstone Rd. There is only one, easy-to-miss speed limit sign on each side of the road, and the cop will pull you over and ticket you for doing less than 5 over. He usually patrols the area in the early- to mid-afternoon and he is very active on the weekends. He easily pulls over 15+ people in a couple of hours, so be careful!

Typically on Sunday morning as people are headed to the worship service of their choice OKC Police sit on the northbound side of Broadway under the bridge at Britton Road. This is not every Sunday morning but is typically 2 or 3 Sundays each month.

This is a Highway between Oklahoma City and Edmond, police will sit up under the bridge at Wilshire Blvd with their car hidden by the pillars of the bridge. Speed limit is 60. Its a 4 lane highway and people tend to do 70 plus and both car and motorcycle patrols are out all the time

Interstate 35 near 50th to Wilshire

North Oklahoma City, OklahomaJun 08, 20070 Comments

On I-35, between just North of the I44 interchange, both North and South, the speed limit drops from 70 down to 60 or 55 quite abruptly. Although it is only for a half mile to a mile, it is easy to miss coming from the south= trap. I have seen multiple patrol units waiting under the center median bridge at all times of the day and night.
