Nowata, Oklahoma Speed Traps

This is not really a speed trap just a place to be careful of. These Officers know their traffic laws but only a select few will enforce them. Just know your vehicle and be sure everything is in working order or you will be meeting Nowatas boys in blue. They are for the most part fair but treat them with respect or get a ticket. The speed trap is South Coffeyville which is right up the road.

Watch south of Oglesby to south of nowata on highway 169 through the reduced speed of 55mph in all 10 miles of highway construction. Usually black and white squadcars or ford expedition none have lighbars. Most commonly they cruise up and down the highway but often times they stop on the shoulder or in a ditch inflow with trafic or on a county road intersection.

When entering city limits south part of town watch at the first Conoco gas station to your west, the park which is apx 1000ft from the gas station right in the U-turn picnic area, sonic drive-in restaraunt, hospital across the street from the dollar general and sonic, all the gas stations through town, intersection of highway 169 north to south and highway 60 east and west, Homeland Supermarket, Car wash on the west side of 169, Lincoln park or Northside park and that area till out of city limits. Best if you can avoid this town all together its nothing but a spead trap.
