Tecumseh, Oklahoma Speed Traps
Highway 9 Westbound
Patrol will sit on Highway 9 as you leave town westbound. Will ticket you if you speed up too fast leaving town.
Tecumseh Police are also very bad about writing tickets for rolling through stop signs, especially in residential neighborhoods with very little traffic. They seem especially gung-ho about writing tickets for even the smallest infraction in the late evening hours. Forget about getting a warning, if they stop you, you will get a ticket. Avoid Tecumseh, if possible!
Gordon Cooper Drive near Bob Crouch Road
Late night to early morning before sunrise a cop will park west of Gordon Cooper Dr. on Bob Crouch. Speed limit will drop from 45 to 35. Will pull over and ticket for 1 m.p.h. over.
all
These cops will pull u over for any reason so just watch out for them. I repeat they will pull u over for anything esp just for going one over the posted speed limit. Beware!
Highway 177
This is a US highway that goes thru the edge of the city limits, there is no commercial or residential build up but the city police patrol this area regularly with their radar on writing tickets mostly to out of town drivers. The same police do not write many tickets to locals speeding in the residential area of town.
Hwy 9
Eastbound on highway 9 during schools hours turns from 45 mph to a 25 mph school zone instantaneously. They are very strict and always on the look out!!! On the eastside of town under the bridge be carefull, they stop you for any speed over the limit and will ticket you at 5 over.
