Tulsa, Oklahoma Speed Traps
25th & Lewis Construction Zone
2 highway patrol (black and white cars) working the construction lane just over the hill as you head north. Before that the street was beautiful. They seem to be picking the older autos, not the new SUVs. $150 a pop helps the budget.
Freeway-Construction barrels
Saw TPD/Sherriff waiting and hiding under the shadow of the overpass and they stop and ticket (which doubles the fine people!!) people going 60 in 45mph construction zone (even though no one was working on a Sunday!!) on the freeway near the Downtown/Bartlesville exit. The lane merges to one lane only and slows down from 60 to 45 in a split second! Watch your speed!!! slow way, way down! even on the weekend when there are no workers!! They are waiting on people!
Sheridan Rd. btwn 61st & 71st
I only see them in the a.m. A black unmarked Crown Vic and motorcycle in the vicinity of the Chase bank. Seems like they prey on the southbound traffic coming down the hill after 61st St.
61st ST. between Sheridan Rd & Memorial Dr.
Motorcycle cops sit at bottom of hill catching drivers going east towards Memorial.
Arkansas River Bridge (11th Street/Southwest Blvd)
Heading southbound, marked speed limit is 25 mph for construction, but marked at the other end of the bridge from where construction begins. Police are very busy there.
