St. Louis St/N 4440 Rd (aka VFW Road)

Welch, OklahomaApr 18, 20110 Comments

This is the worst of the worst in Oklahoma. This street is used as a bypass through the east edge of town. Anyone with an out of state tag will be given a ticket for speeding by the Craig County Sheriff’s department whether they are speeding or not. If one questions the ticket and asks for a printout of the radar record, they’re told that the department is not required to provide one and threaten to take the motorist to the county jail in Vinita if any more questions are asked. It’s a corrupt revenue raising issue rather than a law enforcement issue. One must avoid Welch/Craig County if at all possible. It’s too bad, because it’s the local businesses which suffer the most.

Watch out Kansas travelers! Craig County Deputies spend 24/7 hiding on this road to nab anyone with a Kansas tag that is traveling North headed home. The VFW by the way is not in the City Limits of Welch, however they will write you a fat ticket for you to appear in Traffic Court in Welch. They are writing over $10,000 per month in a town of 300 population. WOW!!

Any Highway Going Through Welch

Welch, OklahomaNov 08, 20100 Comments

Craig County Deputies are collecting over $10,000 per month off of a poor, small farming community of 300 residents by spending 24/7 nabbing anyone who travels over the speed limit. It doesn’t matter whether you are in the City Limits or not, you get to go to Welch Kangaroo Court and pay up big time. Watch out if you are traveling on Hwy 10, 2 or 59 and nearing Welch, Oklahoma!!
