Wynnewood, Oklahoma Speed Traps

Coming into town from the baseball fields, the speed limit drops from 65 to 45 fairly quickly. You see the 55 sign and then a 45 sign near the love’s gas station. What you don’t see until you’re right on it is the 1st 45 sign after the 55 hidden behind low hanging tree branches. WWPD sits just past the sign under more trees. This trap is especially lethal at night.

Just around city limits, coming from the east, you can veer right. You are leaving a HW and entering a “city street”. The speed limit drops immediately even though there’s almost nothing there. The only people who use this road are from out of town who are going to rodeos or football games. The cops know this. Many of the signs are obscured by tree branches. If the cops don’t recognize your vehicle, be prepared for a ticket.
