Old Madoc Road near where the ATV trail crosses

Belleville, OntarioSep 02, 20110 Comments

A specific officer likes to hide in the bushes near the trail and nail anybody he can.. wouldn’t be so bad if he had some flexibility like most officers but I know of at least 2 tickets he’s given for doing 61 in a 60 zone… and no those weren’t reduced from a higher speed, that’s what the radar showed.

Motorists travelling eastbound from or past Baybridge Road travel down a fairly steep grade and inadvertedly pick up speed in a 50kph zone. As the motorist take a gradual left hand bend they are frequently greeted by a speedtrap complimented with laser.
This trap is usually operated by 3 officers who take turns with the laser once they complete their business.
On one observation period of no more than 15 minutes, it was observed that there were 6 motorists that were asked to pull in for a visit.
