Bowmanville, Ontario Speed Traps

Officers will sit either in the school parking lot on the north side of the street or on the south side of the street behind the fence on the corner of Clayton Cr. This is a safety zone so fines are increased.

Police sit near the creek in laneways to access the riverbed at the bottom of the hill. Coming down the hill it is hard to see them at first because the road is bendy and curbless and you need to pay attention to the road, and many cars coast down going faster than the posted 50 km/hr limit. Any time of the day is probable for an officer to be there.

Situated in the truck weigh station, 1 km east of Liberty St. exit into Bowmanville. Monitoring traffic heading west, the cruiser sits behind the main building and is hard to spot as you come over the hill just past the Bennett Road exit.

OPP usually sit on Holt Road overpass with Laser pointing east and west with other cruisers parked under overpass pulling cars over. Some days, OPP will just park under overpass and Laser you and pull you over him/herself.

Officers sit in the parking lot of the Bowmanville Zoo on North or South side of King Street. Usually watching westbound traffic entering Bowmanville as you come down the hill and cross the bridge at the Zoo.
