McVean Dr and Rae Ave

Brampton, OntarioApr 09, 20110 Comments

Unmarked Cruiser recently likes to sit here by the little river bridge. 70km/h zone marked down to 50km/h for construction. Construction starts after the speed trap and there are No Construction signs. Officer moves fast because every second he is writing a ticket he is missing out on another “offender”. 80kmh feels very natural for this road, and used to be the safe speed.

this is usually used for seatbelt and RIDE spot checks

Kenview Blvd. eastbound (between Goreway & Finch)

Brampton, OntarioOct 04, 20100 Comments

This road takes a lot of overflow traffic from drivers trying to turn onto Steeles from southbound Goreway. The surrounding roads are all 70-80 km/h, and this one is only 50 km/h. There’s only one posted sign along the entire stretch, and it’s conveniently placed at a bus stop. The trap is along the straight section after the first curve.

Steeles Ave West Bound at Rutherford Road

Brampton, OntarioSep 08, 20101 Comments

Not a Speed Trap – but a cell phone & seat belt check.
Police stand on the corner with bincolars looking for people without seat belts & on the cell phone. They also check cars as the come to a stop at the lights.
Vechiles turning north from Steeles Ave on to Rutherford also checked.
They pull vechiles over into the parking lot in the North East corner. Have seen as many as 7 to 8 police and 3 to 4 cruisers. They at one time had vechiles lined up in the parking lot.

Chingousy Rd.

Brampton, OntarioJun 09, 20101 Comments

Chingousy Rd. has to be worst for speed traps. All the way form Sandlewood in the north to Steels in the south. They hide on side streets, behind hills. I just saw a cop in the middle lane with the radar going. This road is extremily bad
