Burloak between Rebecca and Harvester

Burlington, OntarioAug 29, 20030 Comments

I have not been caught in this one, but pass it on a regular basis on the way to work. On burloak, righ by prince albert st (between harvester and rebecca) there are usually 1 or two large trucks parked perpendicular to the road off to the side (one advertises student’s uniforms). Often the police will park behind/between these trucks and lean over the hood of the truck with the radar gun. Very tricky to see, and the speed limit is 60 (but most of the time people are going 80)

Appleby Line (just north of Upper Middle Rd)

Burlington, OntarioAug 28, 20030 Comments

Just north of Upper Middle Rd on Appleby Line, they sit just before the set of lights beside some trees.

Plains Road (Royal Botanical Gardens)

Burlington, OntarioAug 23, 20030 Comments

Just as you pass the Royal Botanical Gardens either way the cops sit in the parking lot of the RBG. They sit on both sides and are there everyday. They will nab you for even 10km over.

Burloak Road, just south of the railroad tracks (S. of the QEW hwy)

Burlington, OntarioAug 17, 20031 Comments

When going South on Burloak, south of the QEW highway, as you approach the train tracks which are raised high, as you go up, the police car is waiting for you on the other side of the tracks which are very smooth to run fast !!

Walkers Line between Fairview & New St. (Trinity Christian School Area)

Burlington, OntarioAug 12, 20030 Comments

On both sides of the street around the Trinity Christian School area the cops love to hang out and nab the suckers. After too many close calls, I too am weary of speeding along Walkers in this Fairview to New St. stretch. If you have sharp eyes you can usually spot them on the side of the road. When approaching the area check out BOTH sides of the street and the four side-street mini-intersections. Although the cops can be reasonable in Burlington, this trap is still a P.I.T.A. Recognize!
