Guelph Line and Steeles Aveneue

Burlington, OntarioApr 12, 20100 Comments

Guelph Line – between Highway 401 and Derry Road, popos sit on Steeles Road aiming their guns mostly at north-bound drivers on Guelph Line coming through the 60 kmph zone though the curves of the Escarpment. You come out of the final curve and you won’t even have a chance to slow down. Guelph Line between Dundas and the 401 has 80, 60 and 50 zones, and the police exploit these variances with their typical ‘Meter Maids with Guns’ zealousness, concerned more about revenues than they are about public safety.

Millcroft Community (Appleby, Uppr Mdl Rd, Hw 5, Walkers LN)

Burlington, OntarioApr 09, 20100 Comments

residential – 40km/h zone. Just recently have signs been posted throughout the entire community. Popos sit in the dark at Millcroft Park monitoring for speeders. As well, the park at the corner of Taywood Dr. and Millcroft Park Dr. is another hot spot for stop sign runners.
