Chatham, Ontario Speed Traps

Between Prince Albert and Michener Rd there is ususally always a cop car sitting with radar, most of the time out by the boat storage yard

Once or twice a week either a cruiser or motorcycle and sometimes set up with a speed gun mounted on tripod catching cars coming into Chatham from the east, speed is 80 km by Ontario Hydro and drops to 50 km before you get to English side road.

Police use Motorcycle officers to sit in the gateway and ‘catch’ speeders going both directions on Creek Road. Posted speed is 50 Km’s.

They sit at the old church on Bear Line to catch people coming and going between Wallaceburg and Chatham.

Just past the intersection of Keil and Richmond between the Old Maple City Tire building and the neighbor a cruiser sits scoping vehicles heading West, usually around 5:40 am
