Dundas, Ontario Speed Traps

Police sit on Thorpe St, South of Cootes Dr, and radar traffic heading East. It is hard to see them because there is a house in the way. The speed limit is 50, but 55 is tolerable.

Police get speeders coming down the hill on Old Ancaster Road going into Dundas. Technically residential with 40km/h limit, but is a heavily trafficked artery in/out of Dundas and is safely driven @ 60 km/h. It is also a school crossing; but has a crossing guard.

OPP/ Regional Police sit in church lots or Algonquin Avenue (in particular) where speed drops. Very common in AM hours .

Heading east on right-hand side in driveway of Valley Farm. Drops from 80 km to 60 km.

Going east on Governor’s Road, between Sulphur Springs Road and Pirie Drive, the police like to hide in the driveway of Valley Farm on the driver’s left-hand side of the road. The posted speed limit drops from 80 km/h to 60 km/h.
