Fort Erie, Ontario Speed Traps
Garrison Rd. – two close locations
They will either hide out right at the car rental place/car wash near Spears Rd., or they will park right in the Garrison Road Public School parking lot, sometimes using the portable radar. Be careful, this is a school zone.
Central Ave. near Queen St./QEW exits
Sometimes the OPP will park on the paved median facing south over the bridge with their lights off at night. Be careful.
Garrison Rd. near Ridge Rd. North/Burleigh Rd. North
At the top of the hill where the "Ridgeway Battlefield Museum" is (I guess), you will always see something there. Always slow down into the 80’s when cresting the hill (if your car hasn’t slowed down on its own anyway.)
Stevensville Rd. – two known locations
Niagara Regional Police can hide out at the Olco station on the corner of Bowen Rd., right where it turns 80 km/h and you rightfully should be accelerating. Watch out because they will likely get you for doing 80 in a 50 or something ridiculous. I once escaped this trap by very quickly turning off on Bowen Rd., and the officer did not pursue any further.
I have also seen cops parked on the east side of the road where the body shop is, halfway between Bowen and the train tracks.
Ridge Rd. North at Farr Ave.
In this 40 km/h school zone, sometimes cops will park right in the school parking lot or around Connection Dr. and adjoining parking lots.
