Innisfil Police sit in one of three vegetable storage barn yards, mainly the two on either side of the tenth sideroad close to Hwy 89. The other barn is at the 2nd line of Innisfil and 10th S/R. They also park near the intersection of the 10th S/R and 89 (north side) nailing cars in the a.m. heading to the 400.

Innisfil Beach Road near Innisfil Heights Crescent Loop

As drivers exit highway 400 and proceed East down Innisfil Beach Rd. (also known as the 8th Line of Innisfil) past the first set of lights you may be surprised to see someone off in the distance walk out and stand in the middle of the road, unfortunatly as you get closer you realise that the person is one of South Simcoe’s finest and he’s standing there because you’re busted. He’ll direct you to turn left onto Innisfil Heights Crescent where you’ll queue up and wait to be served your ticket (almost like a drive-though) with another 3-5 cars.

There are usually 2 cars and 3 officers with this set-up (all working overtime, I might add).

The radar tripod is set up in the shrubs West of Innisfil Heights Cres on the South side of Innisfil Beach Rd.

What makes this trap so unfair is that it is set up in a 50km/h zone within a stone’s throw of an ’80km/h BEGINS’ sign, at the top of a hill and there is no warning – as the officers stay off the road in the shrubs until someone is caught. Also, their cruisers are all parked about 50 metres down Innisfil Heights Cres.

(I’m not sure if the South Simcoe Police use Laser)
