Any time of day or night a mobile patrol car, usually unmarked, cruises this 10-15 km stretch of very straight two lane rural highway.

State Highway 416 near Exit Number 40

Highway 416 connecting Ontario HWY 401 to Ottawa is one of the heaviest patrolled highway. There is an OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) center on that highway and on daily basis (Morning, Afternoons and late evenings) unmarked police officers hide after hills, bridges. The highway stretch is about 70km but the whole 50km from Ottawa down south is patrolled heavily.
