Kitchener, Ontario Speed Traps

Wilson Avenue between Wabanaki Drive and Fairway Road. This is an industrial road with many plants. Easy to speed. The speed limit is 50 km/hr. Easy to do 80 km/hr. Police sit in the entrances to the plants with their radar gun. Take it slow down this road :o)

Cops will park in the Cristian School parking lot and catch motorists coming Northbound on Westmount Rd. Cop stands beside the bus stop sign and catches the speeders coming over the hill.

Just today alone they caught 20+ cars in a 2hr span. They are there usually on the weekends when the parking lot is free.

As you drive east on Fairway toward Lackner blvd the police often sit on a side street near the bottom of the hill – coasting down the hill you can hit speeds of 80k but the posted speed is – 40k. The police don’t use the same location twice and often have an unmarked cruiser.
Caution…slow down, gear down, ride your brake but don’t coast. This steep hill can really up your speed. They know it and use it to catch the unsuspecting.

The police park in the driveway of the Funwerx entrance of Bingeman’s Park. Sometimes they park across the street in the entrance of Custom Leather.

Usually seen on Sunday morning while driving to or from church. The officer normally sits on Jackson with radar pointed in either direction. They will get people coming up Weber past Eastwood Collegiate or going in the other direction as it is a nice stretch of four lanes and the limit is 50km/hr.
