Midland, Ontario Speed Traps

You see police car pulled into road where there is a development of new homes going just past the gas station heading toward highway 93…..

They sit at the bottom of the hill near the fruit market. The speed limit is 60Km/h but is in an area just outside the city limits. Huge trap especially during summer months targeting unsuspecting cottagers.

Trap is between wiliam street intersection and old rail way bridge. Posted 60 kph, which is absurd because the only things on this stretch are two factorys (one either side of hyway) OPP car will sit on a side road just before the railway bridge, beside a factory (Kindred) and get people going both ways. Either way you hit this trap, you’ve just come down a hill, and it is a 2 lane’s per side.. with trafic usually moving safely at 80+kph. Coming west, (towards midland) it IS and 80 zone, until just before the bridge where it drops to 60. This stretch is also a curve, so you can’t see the police car until it’s too late.
