Penetanguishene, Ontario Speed Traps

A cop parks in the parking lot during the early mornings, and nabs people going more than 60km/h.

just outside town the speed drops from 80k to 60k to 50k the officer stands on the side of the road under the local service clubs sign , he`s hard to see and his car is parked a parallel road out of sight .

Police sit in driveway of condiminiums somewhat unvisable to westbound traffic, always seem to pull over westbound only and never trucks being that it is a truck route.

This is the ‘cliche’ trap; Cop hides behind a huge sign in a parking lot! As you come through the intersection of highway 93 and Thompsons road, heading into Penetanguishene, on the right side (after thompson) there is a bingo hall/strip mall that has a big sign on the edge of the lot. You come from the highway (80kph zone) it drops to a 60kph, then to a 50kph just before the intersection. If you get a green light, most people will still be going 60-70kph. No way to see it till you’re caught. And they like this spot at night, and weekends as trafic flow is heavy. Just slow down!
