Ridgetown, Ontario Speed Traps

The old burnt down gas station at Rushton’s Corners still has great shrubbery and the police hid in behind the tall shrubs so you can’t see them coming or going, you can only see them once you have passed. Be especially careful on the Ridge Road, they are always waiting at the bend with the chinchilla farm.

I was once traveling on 401 east between Windsor and London and traveled through what appeared to be a massive rolling speed trap.. Now the limit is a ridiculous 100 km/h.. Way too low if you ask me.. I think I was going at least 110 or 120(or with the flow) when I passed them from the opposite direction. They did nothing t me, but it still scared the living crap out of me to see almost 20 RCMP cars cruising for the sole puprose of quota stops. Maybe the limit needs to be raised to 110 and the government needs to lay off more than a few cops if there is nothing better for them to do than pull people over. Maybe some of the money saved by having fewer cops could be used to solve the ridiculous traffic snarels on the 400 between Toronto and Barrie!
