Lawrence Ave. (East) near Dale Rd.

Scarborough, OntarioAug 29, 20120 Comments

There is a relatively long stretch on Lawrence without stoplights between Celeste Dr. and Guildwood Parkway where drivers tend to speed up as they cross the bridge going over the GO Train tracks. The cops set up just around the corner on Dale Road to catch people going west. The guy with the radar gun is usually standing behind a light post, so you won’t see him until he walks out onto the road to signal you to pull over. If you drive in the leftmost lane you’re probably less likely to get pulled over than if you’re driving in the rightmost lane.
