Stratford, Ontario Speed Traps
Erie St. in Daco driveway entrance
As you are coming into Stratford on Erie St. the police car is parked behind the hedge/fence to hide it. They place the radar gun on a tripod and just stand there catching everyone before they have slowed down to 60K from the highway speed. By the time you realize they are there…it’s too late!
Vivian St. (Perth 37 Line) and Romeo St. North
On Vivian St. they sit in Tom Eldon’s Garden Centre where the speed is 50 km. They can see both ways on Vivian St. and Romeo St. North (50km) and they can see all the way to McCarthy Road. (Some times they are on Bicycles.) Some times they sit in the North pumping station on Romeo St. just up from Vivian St. ….Oh, and they turn off their headlights so you can’t see them!
Romeo St North
on Romeo St, just across from the The Gallery, cruisers sit in the Public Works Water Station and get traffic heading both north and south.
Erie Street before West Gore at the furniture store
Furniture store recently shut down, but often a cruiser sitting in this little strip mall’s parking lot on the right as you head towards downtown, before West Gore Street.
Devon Street near Pleasant Drive
Usually a bicycle officer close to trees hard to see them speed is 40 km/hr
