Highway 407etr Eastbound past Keele Street

Vaughan, OntarioMay 05, 20100 Comments

Once past Keele Street, 407 goes downhill and curves left. On the right-hand side at the bottom of the hill on the curve there is an access to a stormpond. Cruisers sit tucked in behind the tall weeds (sometimes 2-3 cruisers). Advice -once you pass under Keele going east, by the time you reach the second centre median light pole you are in sight of their radar (well before you would notice them) – so beware!

Creditstone Road between HWY 7 and Rutherford

Vaughan, OntarioApr 13, 20100 Comments

This is a wide industrial avenue, with limit at 50Km/hr, and everyone speeds on this road. Many people use it as a N/S crossing between 7 and Rutherford in order to avoid Weston/Jane/Keele. There are many industrial buildings offering opportunities for police to hide until it’s too late. They are also there on weekends, when the area is entirely deserted. I got stopped on a Sunday morning.

Dufferin (1 light north of centre) + Beverley Glen

Vaughan, OntarioApr 13, 20100 Comments

For the last two weeks, almost on a daily basis, a speed trap has been set up on the west side (where Beverley Glen ends) of Dufferin + Beverley Glen intersection. Drivers beware of Police speed trap as you drive south from the 407 Bridge towards the community centre @ the Beverley Glen light.

its a 70 km/hour to 60 hour transition just after the bridge and few slow down from the typical 10+ rate and get nailed for 20-25+.

Rutherford Road east of Islington on the bridge

Vaughan, OntarioMar 30, 20100 Comments

This is a recent trap I’ve seen. They get you at the bottom of the hill on the bridge. It’s easy to go too fast because of the downhill. If you aren’t braking, you’re guaranteed going to be going too fast.

Rutherford Road east of Hwy 27 at the top of the hill

Vaughan, OntarioMar 30, 20100 Comments

This is a recent trap I’ve seen. They get you at the top of the hill at Napa Valley Road going eastbound. Everyone speeds up that hill because it’s so steep. The cop sits right at the corner of Napa Valley and Rutherford.
