Waterloo, Ontario Speed Traps
Northbound Hwy 86 @ University Ave onramp
The cops like to hangout on the northbound Hwy 86 onramp to pick off cars coming up the parkway. It’s a posted 90km/h limit, so it’s easy for them to get you at 120 (30 over).
Highway 86 North
On Highway 86 North – I think it’s after the Bridgeport exit – there is a wide curve that goes blind because of a wall. Near the end of the wall there is often a cop parked on the left shoulder of the road where you can’t see him.
Highway 86 – University Ave exit
At the bridge at the University Ave exit, on 86 South or North, there is VERY often fullscale speedtraps.
Northfield Dr. at Skylark
Many police park on Skylark and get cars coming Westbound over the small hill just past Northgate. Limit just before the hill is 60 km/h but is reduced to 50 km/h before Northgate. Enforcement usually comes in spurts, as there might be a trap 3 out of 5 days and then nothing for months.
Lexington, near Hwy. 86 underpass
Just past where Columbia turns into Lexington, there’s an S-curve (limit 50 km/h). They’ll be on one of the industrial side-streets picking off Eastbound cars.
