West of Rocky Point on 140 on straight below Seldom Hill

Klamath Falls, OregonApr 26, 20100 Comments

Long straight stretch runs East / West between Seldom Hill and Rocky Point. The Staters pull into the turnouts for FS roads and use their radar. Westbound traffic trying to get a run at the hill and cars coming down that long steep hill are easy prey.

HWY 97 just south of the 140

Klamath Falls, OregonMar 16, 20101 Comments

The traps are on both sides of the HWY between the Klamath River and HWY 140 interchange. Heading south, you climb a long grade and just as you crest the summit and head down the other side…BAM they got you. Heading north, they hide in the bushes at the edge of the golf course. They use radar mostly.

Lakeshore Drive Street near US Highway U.S.Highway 140

Klamath Falls, OregonMay 10, 20083 Comments

As you travel from U.S Highway 140 west, and you are traveling East on Lakeshore Drive at 55mph. As you crest a small hill and take a small turn, the speed limit changes to 35. Sheriff waits 1/4 mile further east, a little off the highway in someone’s driveway. If you don’t slow down immediately, he will cite you for speeding. The speed change is poorly done with only 1 sign. If you miss it, you get it.
