This extends North of Milwaukie for 1/4 mile… and also south for 1/4 mile.

At night, there is frequently a photo radar van parked between the intersection at Harrison/17th and 99 and the sign where the speed limit goes to 45. There’s never any clear marking of photo radar being employed, and the stretch has nothing to even hint it’s a residential area. All you can see is the sign that says “45” before you get a strobelight in your eyes. (Is this even safe?) I’ve sat there and watched this flashbulb go off a few times per minute.

Driving South on McLoughlin Blvd just prior to entering Milwaukie, OR the speed drops from 45 to 35 in a poorly marked area (one large 35 mph sign appears to apply to an off ramp rather than the main artery). Motorcycle cop sets up on a conveniently place concrete pad facing oncomming traffic just beyond the confusing 35 mph sign. $200 fine for 10 mph over speed limit.

Motorcycle officer sits at corner of Harrison St & Hwy 99 (McLoughlin Boulevard) pointed his radar gun. He will either point you to a parking spot or chase you down. Speed limit changes from 45 north of area to 30. The new speed limit sign is hard to see going 45 and the police will catch at least 6-10 drivers per hour!
