Portland, Oregon Speed Traps
SW Taylors Ferry Rd between 76th and 80th Avenues
Washington County sheriffs have been lurking in the side streets for years on the north side of the street, catching speeders coming down the steep hill. It’s very hard, but not impossible, to slow down to 30 mph before entering this zone.
My wife was ticketed here a few years ago.
37th ave se Sandy Blvd
from 37th ave to 42ave there are many photo radar lights in all directions. Be very careful through there, it seems the yellow lights are faster then normal
WB/S.E. Foster rd. @ I-205 onramp + redlight cam
Photo speed & redlight cam. Westbound Foster rd. @ I-205 onramp, also photo speedtrap northbound I-205 onramp.
SE Powell and Railroad Truss about SE 17th
Most people gain speed going down a dip (under the truss) — just as one is beginning to come out of the dip, and begin climbing hitting the accelorator to continue the speed line of site radar (East Bound Traffic only).
Linnton Oregon
about 20 miles north of Portland city limits on HWY 30, speed drops to 35, radar in subway parking lot or near by.
