Waldport, Oregon Speed Traps

Signs coming into town show Deputy’s picture with slogon "The speed in Waldport is 25 MPH. Lets not stop and discuss it." Anyone traveling +31mph is being stopped. Hwy 101, Hwy 34, and side streets. Small town with short distance… best to just slow down through town. They consider an inch inside the 25mph zone legit if you are over 31mph.

Sleep little burg. Cars are usually sitting near the speed limit signs waiting for the slightest error. You’ll be entitled to a lecture as well as a ticket from the county
"accident investigation specialist" even if no accident is involved. NO WARNINGS HERE..

County sheriff’s (2) sit in a parking lot at the southern end of the Yaquina (probably spelled wrong) Bridge. The speed limit before the bridge is 55, in the middle of the bridge it changes to 40, and at the end, before entering "downtown" Waldport it changes to 25. If you are doing the normal 5-10 over the limit as you cross over the 25mph sign, you will get hit with a 25mph over the limit ticket.
