Winchester Bay, Oregon Speed Traps

Oregon State Police and Douglas County Sheriff’s Department conduct a saturation patrol during Dunefest weekend in late July and early August. Their level of enforcement is high and they are ticketing and searching all drivers pulled over for minor infractions. OSP reportedly does not like the element that is attracted to Dunefest and will make every attempt to get people to not be in the area. Salmon Harbor Drive, U.S Highway 101 from MP 213 to 222, and Beach Blvd are hot spots. It is advised to not be in this area driving, especially after 7 p.m.
