Butler, Pennsylvania Speed Traps

If you are driving on Whitestown, Duffy, or Route 68…
Beware! because they are monitoring these areas heavily since they moved the police station… their favorite tactic is to get behind you and ride your bumper, making you speed up only to pull you over and ticket you… or they may be in front of you, and then pull off letting you pass, clocking you via VASCAR, then get back behind you and follow you only to pull you over and ticket you… they have unmarked cars (I have seen a blue one)that they use on Whitestown and they sit in various places… on New Castle Road, by the Hoagie Hut (if you are coming down to the Point off of route 68 watch it!), by Monroe muffler they sit there…. Colonial Motel, there too… Butler Safety Eye Care, they sit there… Deshon Woods, they sit there… Stirling Bank… there too…. so, Slow Down and be courteous to people who drive the speed limit in front of you, Don’t Ride them… they may be saving you from getting a ticket! And remember, radar detectors Do Not, and I repeat, Do Not pick up VASCAR… VASCAR is a totally different system that does Not rely on radio waves, its just a computer that calculates your distance and speed via using reference points (such as the white lines painted across Whitestown Road). So keep this in mind!

There are line markers for the vascar on the road 2 white lines. If going towards duffy road, there they are right after the Rt. 422 bridge.
