Chambersburg, Pennsylvania Speed Traps

A cruiser sits in empty lots between Franklin Hardware and the entrance to Red Bridge roller skating rink.

They sit in Menno Haven and shoot out at cars passing on Scotland Road. They also sit at Faust Jr High in the parking lot.

The road is hilly, and at Martins Pastry Bakery they park beside a transformer. You can’t see them for the hill on your way to Chambersburg until its too late. The location of the cruiser will be on your left. Coming the other direction you may not see them if your not paying attention as they are hidden by a stone wall and transformer at Martins Pastry on your right. I can’t say they are here alot, but they got me. The limit is posted 35 mph but it is very easy to go 45 or 50. The hill prior to the last one makes you accelerate if you don’t hit your breaks. If you were even going a mediocre 35 or 40, you will be faster than that if you don’t hit your breaks. Be aware of this location especially on Friday or Saturday nights.

They sit in the parking lot of Southgate shopping center and watch all the traffic traveling East on Lincoln Way. There is work being done on the CVS parking lot right now so the bike cops sit behind the equipment and watch

State police will sit a-top the Walker Road Exit Bridge and use Radar and Laser guns on I81 travelers.
