Doylestown, Pennsylvania Speed Traps
Doylestown Twp running Enradd detail on both 611 South and North lanes (4 lanes) in the wee hours of the morning. I saw detail at 2am. The monitoring car actually sits behind the small gas station (used to be called Extra) down the street/same side of street as Edison Furlong Rd 7-11 convenience store. FIrst time I have seen them running this detail here.
PA State Troopers run radar against both the north and southbound lanes of 611 Bypass. Trooper running radar SUV sits on 202 Bypass overpass/bridge over the 611 Bypass. Pursuit cars sit on the on ramps from 202 Bypass onto 611 Bypass. Pursuit cars wait quite a while to pull the speeding cars over. Out of sight of the actual trooper running radar. Seen cars pulled over in the Kohls plaza parking lot on southbound direction…and northbound direction….way above Rt 313 crossover….near where 611 Bypass rejoins 611 business up in Plumsteadville. Pretty active the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend 2015. Happy motoring…..
Speed limit was recently reduced to 25 mph. DTown Twp. is using this as a piggybank. Very active. Keeping taxes low…
Two sets of vascar lines (white lines about 12 yds. apart, perpendicular to the double yellow) on the street give away locations.
1) Corner of Pebble Crest Drive and Almshouse. Cop sits on Pebble Crest, cannot be seen until you are in the trap.
2) On curvy part of Almshouse, adjacent to the Neshaminy Creek. Cop sits in a private driveway, cannot be seen until you are in the trap.
Increased usage of ENRADD at night. ENRADD is setup on southbound lanes of 611 Bypass slightly north of 202 Bypass entrance ramp on to the 611 Bypass. For those more familiar with the area…after the point where 611 Bypass South crosses over Lower State Rd and just before the 202 Bypass entrance to the 611 Bypass South. Pursuit car is sitting up the 202 Bypass entrance to the 611 Bypass. Good Luck!
Police using Vascar from northbound 611 on-ramp at Broad Street around 930pm.
