Exton, Pennsylvania Speed Traps
NW on Eagleview Blvd
The speed meter is setup coming down the hill going NW, just before the big pond on your left. This is a low-traffic, 4 lane road with a wide median, and the speed limit is set arbitrarily low at 30mph. This trap usually occurs during the last few days of the month. It exists solely to generate revenue for the township.
Northbound on Ship Road approaching Rt. 30 Lincoln Hwy
After traveling downhill on Ship Road from Exton Station, and after Constitution Drive and the 2 overpasses, but before East Lincoln Hwy (Rt. 30). The police usually park and flag you over in the landscaping parking lot on the right before Springdale Rd
Whiteford Road right before Rt 30 at Waterloo Gardens
The speed limit is posted as 25 MPH and the police like to use radar to catch people coming down the hill. I have seen hundereds of tickets given at this location on my way to work.
WC – northbound Bypass near 202/rt 30 Bypass
Never saw it before, but on the West Chester bypass headed toward Exton, the speed limit drops to 45mph (I had no idea) and there was a cop waiting for me right on the other side of the overpass (near train station entrance)… A few others were being pulled over simultaneously on Saturday morning. Method used was marked "ESP" on the ticket. Never noticed the lower speed limit sign but the officer told me it changed about 1/2 mi before that overpass.
