The Paxton Police seem to be always there. Especially in the area of the elementary school. The speed limit is 25 mph and strictly enforced.

Interstate 81/83 Southbound Split near Northeast of city

Harrisburg, PennsylvaniaAug 22, 20070 Comments

Three specific locations heading Southbound at the split. One is specific to Rt81 South, just to the right of the exit. The second is on the hill to the left of the Rt83 (left lanes)exit. The car sits on the hill with the gun, and chaser cars stop you as you head off the exit. Third, is after you have taken the exit, a car will sit near the merge lane, hidden by the hill to your right. Stay at 60 or below to keep from being snagged!

Front Street near Interstate 81

Harrisburg, PennsylvaniaJun 13, 20060 Comments

Proceeding on Front Street South just past or off of I-81 interchange and prior to the Jewish Community Center there are painted SPEED lines accros the road. When exiting the Interstate at high speeds the Speed limit on S. Front Street goes from 45MPH down to 35MPH almost immediately and thats wehre the trap lies. If you are going 50 MPH on this 3 lane one way road which is easily acheived expecially if you have been on the interstate all day, they will ticket you. I spoke to may people about this trap and they are aware of it but it is not listed on your site.

Interstate 81 near Interstate 83

Harrisburg, PennsylvaniaApr 13, 20050 Comments

Various locations on I-81 (burms, crossovers, etc) within a mile or so either side of the I-83 interchange. Speed limit is 55, traffic normally flows at 65-70. Significantly higher presence than 6 months ago. Normally can’t see them until you are already caught.

US Highway 22 near Shannon Road

Harrisburg, PennsylvaniaFeb 13, 20050 Comments

The Lower Paxton Police Dept. loves to sit on the hill right by the Triangle Press building or in the lot of the building across the street behind the billboard, and clock cars as the cross the white lines on the road. Sometimes that officer will pull out after you, and other times there will be a whole group of fellow officers waiting for you about 1/4 mile up the road. Either way watch out! The posted speed limit of 45 is completely unrealistic in that area, and they do not take kindly to people who blow through there over the speed limit.
