Lancaster, Pennsylvania Speed Traps
Oregon Pike Rt 272 just south of Oregon Dairy
Manheim Twp. police sit at the old farmhouse on the west side of the road just south of Oregon Dairy and conduct speed details using Enradd EJU-91 RF. Posted speed limit is 45mph, a digital speed monitoring machine showing drivers their speed in red numbers is often up a few days before they run these speed details. The chase vehicles will sit at Suncrest Rd., the next road south of the old farmhouse. The road is straight, flat and open there and people naturally drive a bit faster there.
23-New Holland ave.
There are a ton of Stop signs going into and out of the Turkey Hill parking lot on New Holland Ave. Cops like to park behind the bushes in the Turkey Hill parking lot and wait for rolling stops (everyone does it). There is also a second exit with a ‘Do Not Enter’ sign from the road. There is a pull around that goes around the Turkey Hill for deliveries. Cops love to sit in there and wait for people to enter the parking lot through the One-Way exit, so they don’t have to make a turn at the light.
