Lancaster, Pennsylvania Speed Traps
501/Lititz pike
Heading north on Lititz pike 501 there’s usually a cruiser or two in the parking lot between CVS pharmacy and Giant. Sits right in front of RB Shap.
Another along the same route is heading south bound towards the city. Right between the Walgreens and Boston Market. Nestled between some bushes at night but if you look your headlights will reflect his car badges.
Others can be found in the Cibos pizza and grille lot on occasion and the Fulton Bank off McGovern Ave as well as the Eastern end of Brubaker Chrysler.
State Route 30w near State Route 283
Sits just off of the 283 entrance ramp from Fruitville Pike, under the 30w underpass. He sits back just enough so you cannot see him until it’s too late. Also if you do see him it will be just his lights, since he will be sitting behind the cement wall that protects the underpass. Usually see him near the end of the month.
Buchanan Avenue near West End Avenue
Cruiser likes to sit in Buch park, watching the triple stop on
Buch and West End Aves.
State Route 222 South near S. Prince Street
Heading south on Prince St. out of Lancaster on 222 right as it stops being a one-way street there is a car wash on the right and there are frequently cops there, especially at night. I know more than one person who has been busted for not coming to a complete stop at the sign to the left to go back into the city. I’m sure they catch people speeding all the time, too. Watch your driving!
Hershey Avenue near Wabank Road
As you descend the small hill coming from Millersville Pike going toward Wabank Road, there is an unmarked cop car with a radar. As soon as you pass it, a cop steps into the road and motions you into the Lancaster Court Apts parking lot. It is very easy to speed past the 25 mph limit unless you ride your breaks the entire time going down the hill.
