US Hwy. 220, 1.3 miles north of Laporte police barracks

Laporte, PennsylvaniaDec 09, 20090 Comments

State Police car sits on the north end of “Old Route 220” where it forks back into US 220.
North bound drivers cannot see car until past and looking back. Those drivers will be in a descent after a long straight section, i.e., naturally high and increasing driving speed.
South bound drivers are coming up a long sweeping curve with decreasing grade and typically increasing speed.

If you are heading north from Sonestown it’s hard to see as they park well off the road on the right side. If you are heading south as you crest hill they are on the left side, near the top of the three lane road.
