Bridge Street near Glass Street

Spring City, PennsylvaniaSep 22, 20070 Comments

Speed limit is 25 MPH in the residential section of Bridge Street. Immediately after the intersection of Bridge and Glass St., still residential, there is a posted 40 MPH speed limit sign. An unfamiliar driver, upon approaching this intersection, only sees the 40 MPH sign as the previous 25 MPH sign is well before the intersection. They therefore erroneously assume the speed limit is 40 MPH and are cited.

The cops sit at the car wash across from Burger King at any time of the day. The speed limit is 25 MPH and you won’t notice them behind the car wash building until you are on top of them.

New St and Penn St intersection

Spring City, PennsylvaniaJul 26, 20020 Comments

When you are coming off Rte 724 down New St, it is hard not to break the 25 MPH limit while coasting down the long hill unless you stay on the brakes constantly. The local police sometimes litterally have nothing else to do in this small town sometimes except give out parking tickets and hide up on the hill at Penn St watching for "coasting" speeders going down New St.
