Brossard, Quebec Speed Traps

An officer, either in police car or regular car will wait for you on Van Dyck in odd hours. This is the part of the panama road where the road bends and so it’s difficult to see the police car from any distance until it is too late.

From a 70 km zone, the speed is reduced to 50 m, on Marie-Victorin Blvd. and at the exit from the autoroute 132.

After the Over pass when you are going towards Boulevard Rome. Make sure you come down the over pass slowly and stop completely on the next two stop signs. Also make sure you respect the speed limit.

At least once a week there is radar during the evening rush hour. The cruiser is parked on the shoulder of the highway.
Radar has been much more aggressive on this entire stretch of highway 132 between Candiac all the way through to St-Lambert. Not worth the speeding.

When you are on Boulevard Rome going to Quartier dix30, the entrance to the arena, right where the red light is, there’s a cop waiting and he gets your speed while you are next to the skate park…. he’s usually there around 8am to noon during weekdays and he’s lucky if he has a 10 minutes break because everybody goes over 30km. I have been using this intersection almost everyday and I do see people driving over 50km.
