Dorval, Quebec Speed Traps

Police often stays right at the entrance ramp of this 100Km/h ighway enforcing the local 50Km/h speed.

It’s not 100m before the entrance, but right at the ramp, where people are speeding up for the high way speed.

It’s not uncommon to see several cars caught waiting to be ticketed.

As you exit highway 20 onto Des Sources boulevard northbound be careful for police at 2nd intersection. They are very sneeky and you have just exited the highway onto a speed limit of 50 kmh heading downhill.

If you hit the brakes they are then very interested in your speed because if you release the brake you automatically accelerate to a speed of over 60 kmh in a second.

When you are coming down from the overpass, there is a school zone right after the stop sign. This is during school hours, at least a couple of times a week. They hide their car on a street nearby, and a cop with radar or laser gun hides behind the bushes at the red light up ahead. Even though the cops know it is extremely hard to drive 30 km/h, they will still get a kick out of giving you a ticket.
