Scituate, Rhode Island Speed Traps

Cop usually sits on the rt 14 side but I have also seen him on the 102 side. All three roads have a steep downhill grade leading to crazy corners, but control your speed unless you want a ticket. It’s impossible to see him there until it’s too late.

Local cop sits at the bottom of the hill near this dangerous intersection and shoots radar as you come down the hill where the speed limit changes from 50 to 35 with no warning signs about the speed limit change.

Police hide on side roads during the times Scituate High School begins and ends, approximately 7:00 to 8:00am and again at 2:00 to 3:00pm. Rockland road leading to the High School is also a frequent speed trap.

State and local police "heavily" patrol areas along Rt-6 between Schituate and I-295. Moving and stationary enforcement. Heavy, fast moving traffic on wide improved roadway with heavy enforcement (100s of tickets a week).
